Yehuda Tubin of Kibbutz Beit Zera was part of the leadership of Hashomer Hatzair and Kibbutz Artzi, and served the movement in a number of positions of responsibility. An inductee into the Jewish Brigade, he experienced the historic, emotional encounter with Jewish refugee Holocaust survivors in Italy. As a result of this powerful experience, he dedicated many years of his life–indeed, up to his death–to the sacred work of Moreshet. Together with Rozka Korczak and Levi Dror, he worked for the publication of Moreshet books and the journal Yalkut Moreshet, and struggled to ensure a place for the memory and the lessons of the Holocaust in movement consciousness and within its younger generations. Yehuda Tubin died in 1998. His book On the Senio, to the Bunker at 18 Mila Street was published by Moreshet in 1987.
