The virtual exhibition “The Jewish world that was – Eastern Europe” is one of three new, interactive, interesting and Educating exhibition of Moreshet.
What were the characteristics of the old Jewish way of life? How did that life look like? What does it mean to live in a Jewish town (Shtetl)? What can we learn about the relationship between Jews and polesh through the years? What is important for us to know the old way of life? How is life between Jewish life of back than and our life today connected?
In this exhibition we’ll get to know the richness and variety of prewar Jewish life in Poland. Before we’ll discuss the murder and extermination, we’ll learn about the way Jews back than lived, what they did for a living, how the community life looked like and how their relationship with their polish neighbors looked like. Throughout the exhibition we’ll try to figure out what connects their life and ours.
In this exhibition we invite students to delve deep and learn about a fascinating period in Jewish history and try to learn from it about our life in Israel. All that is achived through journals episodes, poems, photographs and other activities.
